What Is TONIQ?

TONIQ is the first audio plugin that uses real-time polyphonic note detection for stereo imaging. Instead of splitting audio by frequency bands — the approach every other stereo widener uses — TONIQ identifies the actual musical notes you're playing and places each one independently in the stereo field.

When you strum a chord, TONIQ detects every note and its complete harmonic series. Each note gets its own stereo position, its own EQ, its own reverb and delay through the Zone FX system. The result is wide, musical stereo from a single take — without double tracking, without phase problems, without artifacts.

The technology works with any polyphonic instrument: guitar, piano, bass, strings, harp, ukulele. An adaptive profiler learns each instrument's unique harmonic fingerprint in under a second.

What Makes It Different

Every stereo imaging plugin on the market works on frequency bands. TONIQ is the first to work on musical notes. This distinction matters because a single guitar note's harmonics span the entire frequency spectrum — a frequency-band splitter tears each note apart. TONIQ keeps harmonics with their fundamental, creating stereo separation that's musically coherent and physically plausible.

About INSEKTIQ

INSEKTIQ started with a question that seemed impossible: can you teach a machine to hear individual notes inside a chord — in real time, while a musician plays?

We spent years training an AI engine to do exactly that. Polyphonic note separation — identifying every note and its complete harmonic series in a live audio stream — is one of the hardest problems in audio signal processing. We built a detection engine that solves it fast enough to run continuously inside a plugin as the track plays.

Once we had that breakthrough, we realized it unlocks an entirely new category of audio tools. When you can isolate individual notes in real time, you can pan them, EQ them, add reverb to just the high notes of a chord, process each voice independently — things that were simply impossible before. TONIQ is the first creative tool built on this engine.
