Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 29, 2026

1. Overview

INSEKTIQ ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We collect the minimum data necessary to provide our products and services.

2. Data We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (hashed, never stored in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.

Purchase Information

When you purchase a product, our payment processor Paddle collects your payment details. We receive your name, email, and transaction ID — we do not receive or store your credit card number or payment details.

License Activation

When you activate a license in the plugin, we receive a machine identifier (a one-way hash of hardware identifiers) and an optional machine name you provide. This is used solely to enforce the 3-machine activation limit.

Download Information

When you download software, we log the platform (macOS/Windows), version, and your IP address for security and troubleshooting purposes.

Website Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (no cookies, no personal data tracking) to understand aggregate website usage patterns.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect or process your audio. TONIQ runs entirely on your machine — no audio is sent to our servers, ever.
  • We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising trackers.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • Account management: to let you sign in, manage licenses, and download software.
  • License validation: to verify your license when you activate the plugin.
  • Transactional emails: to send purchase confirmations, license keys, and account-related notifications.
  • Support: to help you if you contact us with an issue.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with encryption at rest and in transit. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We use Row Level Security to ensure users can only access their own data.

Payment data is handled entirely by Paddle, who is PCI DSS compliant. We never have access to your full payment details.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data via your account dashboard.
  • Correct inaccurate data by updating your account settings.
  • Delete your account and all associated data by contacting support.
  • Export your data by contacting support.

For GDPR requests or any privacy-related inquiries, contact support@insektiq.com.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes.

Purchase records may be retained as required by tax and accounting regulations.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our website.
